Halcion should not be taken with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants, as it can increase the risk of respiratory depression and excessive sedation. It may cause drowsiness and impaired alertness, so caution should be exercised while performing activities requiring mental alertness, such as driving. Halcion is contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to triazolam or any other benzodiazepines.
