Kushinagar is the midpoint of Buddhist circuit which comprises of the visit of Lumbini Sravasti and Kapil vastu destinations located close to it. While Sarnath, Bodhgaya and Sankisha are few hundred kilometers far from it this airport is going to be the third international airport of Uttar Pradesh.
