Lortab is a pain relief drug that relieves moderate to severe pain. The two ingredients in Lortab are acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Acetaminophen, better known by the brand name Tylenol, is a common drug for relieving excessive pain and reducing fever. Hydrocodone is also used to reduce pain, but unlike acetaminophen, hydrocodone is an opioid – so it is the main ingredient in Lortab generic and can cause abuse and dependence.
