Ambien (zolpidem tartrate) is basically a hypnotic sleeping pill; it’s a non-benzodiazepine. Ambien 10 mg pill tablets are used for the treatment of insomnia for a short period. It has been fast to induce sleep and has low effects on sleep architecture alterations compared with previous hypnotics. Zolpidem, ever since it was brought to the market, has been shown to work well and be more efficacious than a few of the older sleep medicines, especially for reducing insomnia severity and improving overall quality of life. Usually, Ambien may also be prescribed when behaviour has not worked, or a person needs to address sleep as quickly as possible.
