Dilaudid is prescribed to get relief from average to extreme pain. This is used for cancer pain, pain from a broken bone, after-surgery pain, or pain caused by any serious injury. This is a painkiller, so if you miss a dose you will feel pain. Take the forgotten dose as quickly as you remember. The doses of the drug are Dilaudid 2 mg, Dilaudid 4 mg, and Dilaudid 8 mg.
