Lortab is a prescription drug used to treat moderate-to-severe pain in adults and older children who are at least 6 years old. It's a combination of two drugs: hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is an opioid pain reliever, sometimes called a narcotic. Acetaminophen also reduces pain, but does so by affecting certain parts of your brain. Both drugs work together to reduce pain and keep you from needing more.
