Carisoprodol and Cyclobenzaprine are two medications that are used together to ease muscle pain and prevent pain that is caused by injuries to or spasm in the muscles. These two drugs offer similar pain and musculoskeletal benefits, but they act in different ways. Carisoprodol acts rather rapidly and is used normally for short-term treatment; however, if taken for long periods of time, it can be addictive. Cyclobenzaprine is also used for short amounts of time; it may also cause drowsiness, yet it is less addictive than Carisoprodol.
