Methamphetamine stays in the body longer than many stimulants. Its effects last 6–12 hours, while the half-life is about 10–12 hours. Most of the drug is eliminated within 2–3 days. However, it can be detected in urine for 1–4 days, in blood for up to 24 hours, and in hair for up to 90 days, depending on dose, frequency, and metabolism.
