Fenbendazole is an anthelmintic medication primarily used to treat parasitic infections in animals. However, it has gained interest among researchers and alternative medicine advocates for its potential benefits in humans, particularly in cancer treatment. Originally developed to eliminate intestinal worms such as roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms in animals, fenbendazole works by inhibiting microtubule formation, disrupting parasite metabolism, and ultimately leading to their death. Recently, studies and anecdotal reports suggest that fenbendazole may have anti-cancer properties due to its ability to interfere with cancer cell growth in a manner similar to some chemotherapy drugs.
