Bois bande has been used as a prominent aphrodisiac throughout the Caribbean for centuries. Since it is derived from the bark of Richeria grandis and Parinari campestris trees, bois bande has traditionally been used to increase libido, endurance, and male sexual activity. While its name does sound appealing, “erect wood” in French, one should not confuse it with folklore.
