भारत India की केंद्र सरकार Central Government ने पिछले महीने ही विवादों में उलझा पर्सनल डेटा प्रोटेक्शन बिल Personal Data Protection Bill वापस लिया था। इसको लेकर सरकार ने कहा था कि वह एक नए कानून New Laws पर कार्य कर रही है। लगभग तीन वर्ष पहले लाए गए इस बिल में विदेश में डेटा भेजने को लेकर कड़े रेगुलेशंस Stringent Regulations का प्रस्ताव दिया गया था। इसके साथ ही कंपनियों से यूजर्स का डेटा मांगने की सरकार को शक्ति देने का भी सुझाव था। सीतारमण ने US-India Business Council की ओर से आयोजित समिट में बताया, "हम जल्द ही एक नया डेटा प्राइवेसी बिल New Data Privacy Bill लाएंगे।
